The Wan Lab is affiliated with the Department of Cancer Biology, Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute, Penn Epigenetics Institute, and Institute for Regenerative Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. We employ multidisciplinary approaches to investigate chromatin function and its dysregulation in cancer, with a particular emphasis on understanding how chromatin mechanisms regulate gene activity to impact cell fate control during tumorigenesis and metastasis. We are also actively engaged in translating basic mechanistic insights to the development of novel therapeutics.
